Lot: 29 Pattern Molded Salt Cellar, checkered diamond pattern, probably Amelung Glass Works, Frederick, Maryland, 1785-1797. Modified double ogee form bowl with short stem drawn from the same gather, applied solid circular foot, cobalt blue, sheared rim - pontil scar, ht. 2 7/8 inches, greatest dia. 2 3/8 inches. Similar to McK plate 32, #5 and TH plate 2, #6 Well defined mold pattern. Fine condition. Ex George S. McKearin collection, Dr. Charles and Jane Aprill collection.
