Lot: 28 Pattern Molded Covered Sugar Bowl, nineteen diamond pattern, possibly Stiegel's American Flint Glass Manufactory, Manheim, Pennsylvania, 1763-1774. Straight sided bowl flaring to galleried rim with applied solid circular foot, matching cover with applied acorn finial, deep cobalt blue, tooled rim - pontil scar, ht. with cover 6 7/8 inches, greatest dia. 4 1/4 inches; (1/8 inch flake on rim of cover). Similar in form and construction to McK plate 52, #1 Bowl is in fine condition. Wonderful mold impression and brilliant color. Dr. Charles and Jane Aprill collection.
