Lot: 111 Early Pattern Molded Pinched Flask, blown in the German half post method, 16 vertical ribs, probably Austria, 1740-1760. Teardrop form with pinched lower body, deep cobalt blue with strong amethyst tones, threaded pewter closure with cap marked "Austria" - pontil scar, ht. 7 5/8 inches; (faint exterior high point wear). Similar in form and construction to AG plate 230 Appealing early form and beautiful rich color. Fine condition. Dr. Charles and Jane Aprill collection.
