Lot: 122 "Geo. Burrill" Ink Bottle, a Stoddard glasshouse, Stoddard, New Hampshire, 1851-1860. In the form of a three piece mold Stoddard stubby bottle, cylindrical, embossed on the shoulder, dark olive amber, applied sloping collared mouth with ring - iron pontil mark, half pint; (numerous small chips and abrasions to the mouth with two small 1/8 inch flakes from the base). Though this bottle is in a beverage bottle form, it is thought that George Burrill used it as a "master" ink bottle. See accompanying advertisement. Extremely rare. Kris Kernozicky collection.
