LOT DESCRIPTION ITEM
1 Pitkin Type Flask, ribbed and swirled to the left, thirty six ribs, Midwest America. 1800-1830. Coin or clock form, yellow olive, sheared mouth - pontil scar, ht. 5 7/8 inches, wdth. 4 3/4 inches; (some wear near the base on either side of the flask).
Similar to MW plate 88 #1    A great rarity in this color. We know of only one other example.

2 Wells & Miller/N-Y Preserve or Pickle Jar, America. 1840-1860. Square with beveled corners, bright yellowish green, outward rolled mouth - pontil scar, ht. 6 1/4 inches, wdth. 2 3/4 inches; (probably professionally cleaned with some wear particulary near the base on each side, embossing is not strong).
Extremely rare, this example being the only example to come to light.

3 Igloo Ink Bottle, America. 1870-1890. In the form of an igloo with vertical ribs starting at the neck on three quarters of the body, light pink puce, ground mouth - smooth base, ht. 2 inches, dia. 2 inches; (mouth has been ground, perhaps after manufacture).
Extremely rare, not listed in Covill, this being the second example to come to light. The first being from the Robert Mebane collection. Robert Morin collection.

4 Two Pattern Molded Flasks, twenty four ribs swirled to left, probably Zanesville, Ohio. 1820-1840. Flattened chestnut forms, brilliant light golden amber, sheared mouths - pontil scars, hts. 4 3/4 inches and 5 inches; (some very minor exterior high point wear).

Emerald green and yellow green, sheared mouths - pontil scars, pints; (Washington-Taylor has two 3/4 inch chips from either side of the base, the scroll has two fine 2 1/2 inch line cracks in the interior of a large bubble).

Brilliiant golden amber, outward rolled mouth - pontil scar, ht. 8 1/8 inches, greatest dia. 5 1/4 inches; (some minor exterior high point wear and scratches around the greatest diameter of the bottle).
