Two Early Spirits Bottles,
Europe. 1750-1850. Rectangular with indented corners, brilliant amethyst with diagonal white stripes and amber with white fern like loopings, sheared mouths with applied pewter collars - pontil scars, ht. 7 7/8 inches and 6 inches; (amethyst example has a 1 1/2 inch spider crack near one shoulder, the amber example has a 4 inch vertical crack in one side.).
